Connecting Body and Sensory Awareness with Mindfulness

This class for children will incorporate mindful meditation techniques with body and sensory awareness activities, enhancing the body/mind connection. By learning and practicing mindfulness, it can help us calm down, reduce impulsiveness, identify our feelings, improve attention, improve body awareness and generally feel better.

Each week I will focus on a thematic mindful technique enhanced by body and sensory awareness techniques.  A creative project to reinforce the mindful technique will be incorporated.

The class is a 45 minute class (sometimes 50 min depending on the theme that week) held once- a-week  for 10 weeks.  Class size is kept to a maximum of 6 participants to allow for personal attention.  An additional one-time evening class will be held for parents only, to learn some of the meditation and body and sensory awareness activities. (time of class will be announced later).

Cost: $300 for 10 week series. No materials fee this series.
